Stephen Kagia Njoroge is an accomplished Executive Operations Leader and socio-economic development professional with extensive experience in operational leadership, financial services, people management, portfolio stewardship and organisational transformation.
His professional journey reflects exceptional growth, resilience and a strong commitment to operational excellence. Beginning his career as an intern at 4G Capital, Stephen progressed through key operational and leadership roles including Loan Officer, Collections Officer, Branch Manager and Assistant Collections Manager in Kenya. Through progressive leadership responsibilities and strong execution, he advanced to the executive position of *Head of Product (Operations) in Uganda*, where he provides strategic leadership for nationwide operations.
In his current executive role, Stephen oversees 196 employees across 26 branches, provides leadership to five Regional Managers, and is responsible for an operational portfolio exceeding UGX 3.8 billion. His previous responsibilities in Kenya included management of a USD 1.8 million portfolio, providing him with substantial experience in financial stewardship, risk management, operational controls and performance management.
Stephen has demonstrated a strong record of delivering measurable organisational results. His achievements include contributing to over 100% growth in Profit Before Tax (PBT) within a single year, maintaining portfolio risk below 4%, and leading a major core-system implementation that reduced operational costs by approximately 70%.
He holds a *Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Sociology from Kenyatta University*, giving him a valuable combination of economic analysis, financial understanding and appreciation of the social and structural factors that influence communities and livelihoods.
